Originally incorporated in 1976 as Saftronics (SAF), the early years of operation were based in Guelph, and then Stratford. In 1987, Sutherland-Schultz Limited acquired SAF's Canadian shares, and the company was moved to Kitchener, as a division of Sutherland-Schultz and subsequently as Brock Solutions.
In July 2010, SAF transitioned once again into an independent entity with a dedicated focus to develop and manufacture drive solutions and solid-state starters. The current team boasts a combined 150-years of drives manufacturing and industry experience and a commitment to maintain and grow the SAF brand and the unrivaled quality and reliability that has become synonymous with the SAF name
